Assassin’s Creed Origins Gets Gameplay Reveal and October Release Date

During Microsoft’s E3 Media Briefing earlier today we got our first glimpse at Assassin’s Creed Origins, the next title in Ubisoft’s famed franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will transport the player back to ancient Egypt, where they will take on the role of Bayek, an all-new Assassin to the franchise.

In a mission shown off during the briefing, protagonist Bayek is tasked with eliminating a fake oracle know as Medunamun. With the use of new mechanics such as controllable eagles and all-new combat style and upgrade system; Assassin’s Creed is certainly looking to reclaim its spot at the top.

Origins will also feature a 4K upgrade for Xbox One X users meaning players will be able to explore ancient Egypt in all it’s glory thanks to the power of the recently unveiled Xbox One X.

Assassin’s Creed Origins will be releasing on October 27th of this year and is expected to launch on Xbox One, PS4 and PC after taking a year-long hiatus following its predecessor Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
