Today during Microsoft’s E3 2017 Media Briefing, Xbox announced a price, release date and official name for its mid-cycle console.
Following a year under the code name Project Scorpio. Xbox Head Phil Spencer officially unveiled Xbox One X to the world, with the console set to join the Xbox family of consoles this coming Fall.
Whilst the size of the console is significantly more compact when compared to the Xbox One, under the hood it packs a great deal of power. With a CPU/GPU combo capable of delivering a whopping 6 Teraflops of power, 12 GB’s of GDDR5 RAM, 1TB HDD, and a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disk driver, Xbox One X is by far and away the most powerful video game console around.
Xbox One X will launch worldwide on November 7th, 2017 and will cost $499, £449 and €499.
