Assassin’s Creed Origins releases on October 27th which is only about 2 1/2 weeks away, so what better time to get details on the Post-Launch content coming for the title?
First, Season Pass owners will be able to try out a new story expansion called The Hidden Ones. Taking place a few years after the events of the base game, where Bayek clashes with a Roman occupying force in a new region. Additionally, the level cap will be increased for progression. The Hidden Ones will arrive in January of 2018.
The Curse of the Pharaohs is another story expansion that will see players explore Egyptian mythology by fighting against undead pharaohs and visiting a mystical realm. During the encounter, players will also face Anubis warriors, and scorpions while tracking down the cause of the undead pharaohs. The level cap will be increased further at this point along with a new selection of abilities when The Curse of the Pharaohs launches in March 2018.
Season Pass owners will also be able to look forward to the Roman Centurion and Horus packs, which will grant new outfits, weapons, shields, and mounts. Both packs will be available in November 2017. Additionally, the rare weapon the Calamity Blade will be made available at the launch of the game along with 500 Helix Credits.
These that don’t have the Season Pass will still have additional content to look forward to. The Trials of the Gods will see players face off against Egyptian gods in special timed events. Those that complete them will gain prestigious rewards starting 15 days after Assassin’s Creed Origins launches.
Horde Mode will allow players to fight endless waves in the Gladiator Arena. Players will be able to challenge friend’s scores and challenge them asynchronously. Additionally, a Discovery Tour mode will allow players to learn about Ancient Egypt in combat-free environments. These environments will also be populated with guided tours curated by historians and Egyptologists. Both modes will debut in early 2018.
Meanwhile available at the launch of Assassin’s Creed Origins, The Nomad’s Bazaar will offer daily quests to players in order to receive exotic rewards to arm Bayek with. Lastly, a photo mode will be available with multiple filters that allows players to capture the Egyptian wildlife and landscapes and immediately share them with the community.
Plenty of content is coming to Assassin’s Creed Origins after launch, and players can start to sink their teeth into it October 27th on Xbox One, PS4 PS4 Pro, and Steam. Xbox One X will also have additional features on November 7th.
