Following week’s of speculation regarding possible settings, Activision has finally revealed the next title in the Call of Duty franchise will take players back to World War II.
Departing the futuristic theme of previous entries, Call of Duty WWII was officially confirmed moments ago via the Call of Duty Facebook Page with a worldwide reveal set to take place on April 26th at 18:00 p.m BST in a live stream over at CallofDuty.com.
Last years worldwide reveal for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare didn’t fair so well, resulting in its trailer becoming one of poorest received videos of 2016. The game, however, was an overwhelming success, topping numerous format charts globally including scooping the UK chart No.1 crown over Christmas.
After its recent excursion to outer space with Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty WWII sees the game return to its roots for the first time since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. The first 3 titles to come from the franchise were all set during World War II.
Look out for the Call of Duty WWII reveal when it airs Wednesday, April 26th at 18:00 p.m BST.
