Call of Duty: WWII will get a festive sprinkling of snow this holiday season with its first community event – Winter Siege, beginning on December 8th.
The first community event for Call of Duty: WWII kicks off tomorrow on Xbox One, PC and PS4 and will run through to January 2nd, introducing among many things, the return of fan favourite mode Gun Game, a free-for-all mode where players work their way through an assortment of weapons, shifting to a new weapon with each kill and dropping back down a weapon with each death until one player grabs a kill with each weapon to be declared victorious.
Other wintery changes included in the event are a new snowy themed version of the Carenten multiplayer map which will be free to all players, a new quartermaster in Captain Butcher who offers new and unique winter-themed weapons and equipment for completing various challenges throughout the event, double XP on select playlists, and free winter supply drop rewards.
All of the above is detailed in Call of Duty: WWII‘s latest trailer, which you can view below.
