Crackdown 3 developer Sumo Digital today announced the acquisition of digital art and design studio Atomhawk.
Founded in the United Kingdom in 2009, Atomhawk’s body of work includes blockbuster movies and games across PC, console and VR platforms: including Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron and video games Injustice 2, Dead Island Definitive Edition, Alienation and Eve: Valkyrie (VR).
“Atomhawk continues to build an impressive track record across games, film and digital media. Both companies will continue to operate independently with the acquisition allowing us to accelerate growth across the group,” said Carl Cavers, CEO of Sumo Digital.
Cumron Ashtiani, Managing Director of Atomhawk added, “This investment and strategic support enables us to realise our ambitions to drive Atomhawk forward – expanding the creative services we offer and the imminent opening of a second studio in North America. ”
Sheffield-based studio Sumo Digital is currently developing Microsoft Exclusive Crackdown 3 and Dead Island 2.
