Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy holds off strong competition from Splatoon 2 to reclaim the top spot in the GFK Chart-Track weekly boxed standings.
Securing a third week at No.1, Vicarious Visions remastered collection now matches the record set for a PS4 only title in the UK boxed charts alongside another of Naughty Dog’s highly acclaimed games, The Last of Us Remastered, with 3 weeks spent at No.1.
Despite strong sales for Nintendo’s Splatoon 2 in the week following its release, the follow up to 2015’s colourful third-person shooter fails to reach the heavy heights of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, only managing to debut at No.2. Splatoon 2 does, however, manage to outperform its predecessor Splatoon and becomes the third biggest Switch launch behind Zelda and Mario Kart.
Speaking of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: The Breath of the Wild, both titles are back into the Top 10 at No.4 and No.6 respectively, with Mario’s highest chart position since its third week of launch.
In other chart news, last week’s No.1, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age drops to No.7 after an impressive debut, Fallout 4 climbs 10 places to re-enter the top 10 at No.9 as does Warner Bros Lego Worlds up 6 places to No.10.
