Destiny 2 Fully Revealed with First Trailer, Arrives for Xbox One, PS4 and PC September 8th

As expected following the appearance of a logo and teaser trailer earlier this week, Bungie’s Destiny 2 has been finally revealed, arriving for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on September 8th.

Detailed in a press release via publisher Activision, we now know that Destiny 2 will take place after the last safe city on Earth has fallen, lying in ruins and occupied by a powerful new enemy and his elite army, the Red Legion. Each player will create their own character or “Guardian”, humanity’s chosen protectors, where they must master all new abilities and weapons in a bid to reunite the city’s forces.

Embarking on a fresh storyline filled with new destinations based in and around our solar system, Destiny 2 will include solo, cooperative and competitive play set in a vast and evolving universe.

Destiny was the biggest launch of a new console video game franchise ever. Along with our incredibly talented partners at Bungie, we are focusing on making Destiny 2 even better, with state of the art first person action, an awesome new story, great characters, and thoughtful innovations that make the game more accessible to all different kinds of players,” said Activision CEO, Eric Hirshberg.

We’re also bringing Destiny 2 to the PC platform for the first time. Destiny 2 will make an already great game franchise better than ever.”

It will certainly be interesting to see how Destiny 2 fares following the success of Destiny in 2014.

Destiny 2 will launch for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on September 8th, 2017.
