Divinity: Original Sin 2 will feature a full roster of acting talent with more than 1 million words and over 74,000 lines of voiced dialogue, developer Larian Studios has announced.
The eagerly anticipated direct sequel to Larian’s 2014 hit RPG Original Sin will feature voice acting from veterans of the industry with Harry Hadden-Paton (Dragon Age: Inquisition) as the Red Prince, Alix Wilton Regan (Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age series) as Sebille and Alec Newman (Dragon Age II, Killzone 3, The Witcher 2 and 3) as Beast amongst the star studded cast list.
Furthermore, Divinity: Original Sin 2 will feature around 1200 different characters and creatures, voiced by a full cast of around 80 actors. According to the developer, the full extent of the game’s voiced content cannot be discovered in one playthrough, and players who wish to hear each NPC’s story and every origin story interaction will need to play through the game many times.
With over 40,000 backers Divinity: Original Sin 2 enjoyed an incredibly successful Kickstarter campaign, raising $2,000,000 of a $500,000 original goal, which saw the campaign reach every available stretch goal.
Created by Larian Studios, Divinity: Original Sin debuted back in 2014 for PC before arriving on the PS4 and Xbox One in 2015.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 launches on September 14, 2017, and is priced at $44.99 on Steam.
