FIFA 18 maintains the top spot in the latest GFK Chart-Track standings for UK boxed sales, seeing off tough competition from Forza Motorsport 7 in its debut week.
The latest entry in EA’s global football series eclipses the second-week sales of predecessor FIFA 17 to hold on to the top spot ahead of Turn 10’s Forza 7 which only manages to match the chart position of the series’ previous 2 games Forza Motorsport 6 and Forza Horizon 3, both of which debuted at No.2 in 2015 and 2016.
Ahead of the cinematic release this week The Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game arrives at No.7 as the series makes its debut on consoles after various handheld releases, Nintendo has 2 3DS titles making their debut in week 40 as Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions and Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy enter at No.19 and 31 respectively. Lastly, Capcom’s HD re-release of Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen just about manages to creep into the top 40 at No.39 for Xbox One and PS4.
It’s worth mentioning that all sales recorded do not include digital sales and therefore are not wholly respective of overall sales.
