Back in July, Five Nights at Freddy‘s creator Scott Cawthorn announced and simultaneously cancelled development for Five Nights at Freddy’s 6 to take personal time away from the series. It’s somewhat surprising then that the creator has returned 6 months on with a pizzeria simulator set in the FNAF universe.
Launched last night as a free game on PC via Steam, Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria Simulator claims to be a pizza simulator where players can start their own Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria and design pizzas, but according to multiple Steam reviews, all may not be as it first appears.
As it turns out, that innocent looking pizzeria simulator that puts the player in charge of developing their own restaurant might very well just be Five Nights at Freddy’s 6 in disguise, with players stating that “This game is not what it claims to be…” or “the game lies”.
Five Nights at Freddy‘s made its name from YouTube Let’s Play videos when the series first began and so there’s already likely many videos up already giving the game away. For the sake of this article, we won’t do that. Much of the fun lies in self-discovery, so go check it out by following this link.
