Epic Games’ third-person action building title, Fortnite is now available in paid early access for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Mac, the Gears of War creator has announced.
Fortnite is a tower defense/survival hybrid that sees players team up with friends or online to build massive strongholds and battle against hordes of monsters while crafting and looting within large unique worlds. Fortnite features a star studded cast list which includes Ashly Burch (Horizon: Zero Dawn, Life is Strange), Phil LaMarr (Samurai Jack), Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Emerald City) and Amy Pemberton (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and was first revealed back in 2011.
Although Fortnite becomes free-to-play in 2018, it is currently available in paid early access all platforms with bundles starting at £49.99 and rising to £119.99.
“As we created the world of Fortnite, with its heroic moments and quirky sense of humor, we knew it would be important to have a mixture of veteran voices and exceptional new talent in order to connect the players to the game’s story,” said Creative Director Darren Sugg. “Just as we’ve built Fortnite with the players, we were honored to have a group of amazing performers become part of our community and to help us bring this brand new world to life.”
