Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that iconic 80’s slasher star Freddy Krueger will join the ranks of Dead by Daylight killers today on PC, with the DLC headed to Xbox One and PS4 soon.
The star attraction of Wes Craven’s Nightmare on Elm Street film series, Krueger was portrayed on the big-screen by Robert Englund, with a reboot coming in 2009. Freddy Krueger will now join fellow horror legends Michael Myers and Leatherface on the horrific roster of killers in Behaviour’s 4v1 asymmetric survival game Dead by Daylight today on PC, before a release on consoles.
“A Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic tale of horror where players get to wield Freddy Krueger’s classic glove and claw as a primary weapon. Freddy’s new power, “Dream Demon” will play a trick on Survivors as they fall asleep and becomes trapped in Freddy’s never-ending Nightmare. Quentin Smith is the Chapter’s new Survivor – a young man with an urge to stay awake as he knows what happens if he goes to bed – pills and energy drinks are frequently consumed to avoid death. Freddy and Quentin will fight it out at Badham Preschool – the place where Freddy was shaped into the revenge seeking Killer he is now, and the place where Quentin faces true terror.”
Players can now purchase Dead by Daylight‘s A Nightmare on Elm Street chapter for £5.19 on PC via Steam.
Dead by Daylight is available now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
