UK Retailer GAME Forced to Apologise Over Super Mario Maker Order Faults

UK Video Games retailer GAME has been forced to apologise after many customers were charged for multiple copies of Super Mario Maker for the Wii-U.

In some cases, customers looking to purchase the highly anticipated Nintendo title were charged for 7 separate copies despite only ordering 1 copy of the game. After receiving many complaints from understandably angry and bewildered customers, GAME was forced to apologise, with the retailer admitting that it planned to fix the error by this evening.

Super Mario Maker + Amiibo Limited Edition is currently priced at £46.99, with the online video game retailer, however, some customers have been charged for multiple copies with some charges reaching the £300 mark. Angry customers took to social media to vent their frustration at GAME, below are a select few of those Tweets, from the swarm.

Customers have taken to cancelling their pre-orders, which in some cases has meant the loss of the Limited Edition Amiibo figurine that came with pre-orders. GAME aim to have all refunds paid back by this evening but even this morning customers were still continuing to be overcharged.

Super Mario Maker releases this week for the Wii-U,  although some GAME customers probably won’t be receiving their copy of the game.
