Gamescom 2017: BioMutant Gets 11 Minutes of Action-Packed Gameplay Footage

A couple of days ago, the team of THQ Nordic and Experiment 101 introduced the world to its brand new IP, BioMutant, an open world action RPG coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018.

While its premise certainly sounds interesting and the CGI trailer was full of action, we didn’t get to see any actual gameplay footage of BioMutant, until now. Thanks to IGN, we can now watch 11 minutes of Alpha footage of the game in action.

The video begins with a typical customisation screen allowing the player to switch between gender, alter their size, choose fur style, mane and colour.

After that, the main character sets out into the world to tackle a selection of the enemies we’ll encounter when the game releases. During the 11 minute long video, we get a good look at the different combat styles on offer in BioMutant as the player character fires off a weapon from distance and uses kung-fu for close combat, each with wonderful results.

BioMutant is slated for release in 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, though no concrete release date is available at this time.

Dan has been gaming for nearly 30 years and has survived everything from Nuclear Fallouts to Zombie Outbreaks but his main love is Survival Horror and don't we all know it. Favourite games include Resident Evil and Grand Theft Auto, he can be regularly found cruising the streets of Vice City listening to the classics.
