Ubisoft’s tactical shooter Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the latest UK video game sales chart standings, with last week’s No.1, Persona 5, dropping out of the top 40 entirely after an impressive debut.
After consecutive week’s at No.1 following its debut in March for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Ghost Recon Wildlands is back on top of the weekly standings, making it 3 weeks at the top spot for the shooter and a total of 5 weeks so far this year for Ubisoft, following the successful release of brawler For Honor back in February.
Persona 5‘s hasty decline from the sales chart standings despite outstanding week one sales is down to a lack of stock in the United Kingdom rather than a significant drop in sales, with the JRPG currently out of stock in every UK retailer, in addition to the Standard Edition of Persona 5 not being available until May 8th in the UK.
Playtonic Games and Team17’s spiritual successor to 1998 N64 platformer Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee is the highest new entry this week, debuting at No.6. Yooka-Laylee‘s launch on consoles and PC fails to match that of the iconic Rare title which spent 4 weeks at No.1 in 1998.
The only other new title inside the Top 40 this week is Eric Barone’s Stardew Valley which debuts at No.30.
In other chart news, Lego Worlds and Grand Theft Auto V climb a place to No.2 and No.3 respectively with Blizzard Entertainments’ Overwatch climbing 6 places to No.4.
