Ghost Recon Wildlands Takes UK No.1 Spot with Biggest Launch of 2017 So Far

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands has taken the No.1 crown in the latest UK video game chart standings.

Following on from Ubisoft’s 2016 record-breaking week one with tactical shooter The Division, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands becomes the biggest week one launch of the year so far, knocking last week’s No.1 Horizon: Zero Dawn off the top spot after just one week.

In terms of week 1 debut units, Wildlands ranks No.2 behind Tom Clancy’s The Division, pushing Future Soldier down from No.5 from No.4 in a long Tom Clancy week 1 sales list.

Warner Bros’ Lego Worlds also makes a strong debut at No.3 after a launch on PS4 and Xbox One last week, pushing last week’s other blockbuster new entry The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild down to No.4.

Other notable new entries this week include Square Enix’s JRPG Nier Automata at No.6 and Mario Sports Superstars for 3DS coming in at No.37.

Better known as RzrsS in the video game scene, Stephan Rodts has been playing video games for nearly his entire life. He started out shooting poor ducks out of the sky in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo, but now shoots everything that moves. Be warned.
