Today Capcom offered fans of long-running survival horror series Resident Evil the chance to go behind the scenes with the development of its latest iteration – Resident Evil 7.
With never seen before footage and interviews with key developers, fans of the series will be able to explore the origins of Resident Evil 7 and many of its key features through a four-part video series starting with Part One: Beginning Hours.
Part One: Beginning Hours features interviews with Resident Evil 7 Executive Producer Jun Takeuchi, Producer Masachika Kawata and Director Koshi Nakanishi as the trio explore how the team and the survival horror ideas in Resident Evil 7 came about, in addition to allowing us to see how the Capcom Europe team reacted to seeing the game for the very first time.
Over the next few week’s, Capcom promises to reveal more secrets about the eerie Baker family, the creation of the family’s creepy Louisiana plantation, the developers inspiration behind the dark themes in the story line as well as examining how the concept of the Kitchen demo came about and developed into a survival horror VR experience.
Resident Evil 7 is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
