Grand Theft Auto V Continues to Sell Well, Reclaims Top Spot in UK Charts 174 Weeks After Release

174 weeks after it made its debut, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V has reclaimed the No.1 crown for weekly sales in the UK all-format charts.

After dominating the recent chart standings, last week’s No.1 – Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare makes way for Grand Theft Auto V, which had been steadily moving up the charts after positive sales over the Christmas holidays propelled the game back into the top 10.

With its tenth week spent on top of the UK all-format sales chart, GTA V joins an elite group of titles to have spent at least 10 weeks at No1, with Grand Theft Auto Vice City‘s PS2 release in 2002/2003 managing 10 weeks at the summit.

With little movement inside the top 40 this week, Electronic Arts’ FIFA 17 falls a place to No.3, Battlefield 1 remains at No.4 and Microsoft Exclusive Gears of War 4 re-enters the top 10 at No.10.

Better known as RzrsS in the video game scene, Stephan Rodts has been playing video games for nearly his entire life. He started out shooting poor ducks out of the sky in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo, but now shoots everything that moves. Be warned.
