Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 6 million boxed copies of the game in the UK since its launch in September 2013, according to Ukie’s GFK Chartrack data this week.
Since its launch in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V has proved to be a phenomenal success in the UK, spending a whopping 130 weeks inside the Top 10 for weekly sales. Grand Theft Auto V has now sold over 6 million boxed copies in the United Kingdom, making the game the fastest and biggest selling entertainment product of all time, and a prime example of UK games makers’ creativity, talent and innovation leading the way in creating the most popular games in the world.

Sales figures for Grand Theft Auto V at retail are so impressive that since its release in 2013 GTAV has managed to put a staggering £240 million through British cash tills, contributing more to the British economy than any other single game title in history (The entire boxed sales market for games in the UK in 2015 was worth £904m).
