Gun Media has released its first gameplay footage of Jason Voorhees from the 1986 movie, Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives for its upcoming survival horror game based on the iconic 80’s slasher films – Friday the 13th: The Game.
Friday the 13th: The Game is slated to release during Q1 2017 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, and following fan requests and the recent announcement that actor Thom Mathews would return to reprise his role of Tommy Jarvis from the sixth film, the developer has released the following gameplay footage.
The recently released gameplay footage shows the psychotic killer donning the same attire worn during Tom McLoughlin’s 1986 film as the monster stalks a potential victim throughout the woods of Camp Crystal Lake. Using a unique morphing ability, the masked killer quickly catches up to his intended prey but narrowly misses out on the kill.
Additionally, the developer has also announced the inclusion of punk band The Misfit’s song, Friday the 13th, in the game as a tribute to 80’s slasher movies.
Friday the 13th: The Game is an asymmetrical survival horror game that pits iconic killer Jason Voorhees against up to 7 terrified campers, and is expected to release during Q1 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
