Mass Effect: Andromeda Debuts at No.1 in Latest UK Sales Charts; Third Best Launch in Series History

Bioware’s Mass Effect: Andromeda has dethroned Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands to take the No.1 spot in the latest UK chart standings.

Andromeda becomes the series third debut No.1 spot since it first debuted 10 years ago with the original Mass Effect on Xbox 360 reaching No.12 in the all format charts, every series iteration to follow since has graced the UK charts at No.1.

Mass Effect: Andromeda represents the third biggest launch of 2017 so far behind Ghost Recon Wildlands and Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Zero Dawn, and the third best week 1 for the series in terms of physical sales.

When tallied up Mass Effect Andromeda shows a sales unit split of 55% PS4, 41% Xbox One and only 4% on PC.

Andromeda‘s debut at No.1 has a ripple effect directly below it with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands dropping to No.2, Lego Worlds down to No.3 and Horizon Zero Dawn falls to No.4.

Better known as RzrsS in the video game scene, Stephan Rodts has been playing video games for nearly his entire life. He started out shooting poor ducks out of the sky in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo, but now shoots everything that moves. Be warned.
