The Molasses Flood’s wonderful post-apocalyptic roguelike survival adventure The Flame in the Flood will not receive any DLC or season pass, the developer has confirmed.
Speaking in a recent interview with Hardcore Gamer, Molasses co-founder and CEO Forrest Dowling revealed that the studio was focused on a new project and would not be working on any new content for its successful debut adventure title.
“We made the game we wanted to and have moved on to our next project,” Dowling told Hardcore Gamer. “We’re a small team and need to focus our efforts, and we felt it was best to aim for something new.” Dowling later confirmed that the studio had no immediate plans for a sequel to The Flame in the Flood.
A critical success, The Flame in the Flood originally launched in 2016 for Xbox One and PC, before arriving on PS4 early this year. The Boston-based studio released its debut game on Nintendo Switch last week.
