Blizzard has announced that Diablo III, 2012’s dungeon crawler sequel where you face off against the minions of Hell itself, is getting a new class on June 27th.
The last time we saw the Necromancer in a Diablo title was with 2000’s Diablo II. This new version of the class has been described as being a “reimagining” of the version from Diablo II. The new Necromancer will boast a collection of spells relying on old standbys of blood and bone. The Necromancer will also be able to raise golems, undead minions, and curse the opponent while dealing three types of elemental damage: poison, physical, and cold.
The Necromancer will be available to all owners of the Reaper of Souls expansion on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Along with the new character class, the Rise of the Necromancer Packwill include a half-formed Golem in-game pet; Wings of the Crypt Guardian cosmetic item; two additional character slots; new Necromancer themed portrait, banner, sigil, accent, pennant; and for PC players only, two stash tabs. All of that will set you back either $14.99 or £12.99.
Or have you not purchased Diablo III on console yet? Blizzard will have a special offer available for PS Plus and Xbox Live Gold members where players can grab the digital-only Diablo III: Eternal Collection. The collection will feature the original game, Reaper of Souls expansion, and the Rise of the Necromancer Pack all for an introductory price of $39.99 or £29.99, after which it will return to a regular price of $59.99 or £54.99.
