Neil Druckmann Confirms Westworld Writer Will Co-Write The Last of Us Part II

Naughty Dog creative director and writer Neil Druckmann has confirmed via Twitter that he will co-write the script for The Last of Us Part II with Westworld writer Halley Gross.

Druckmann, who wrote the script for The Last of Us in addition to co-writing scripts for each main iteration in the Uncharted series alongside Amy Hennig (Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake’s Deception) and Josh Scherr, will work alongside Gross, famed for her writing on popular HBO shot Westworld to create a script for the sequel to 2013’s highly acclaimed PlayStation exclusive.

Halley Gross, an actor and writer whose previous credits include an episode of Cinemax’s TV Show Banshee was equally thrilled to share the news on Twitter.

Westworld, which stars Anthony Hopkins, Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton and Ed Harris first aired in October of this year and has become one of the standout shows for HBO since its arrival, with season one’s finale airing last night in North America.

The Last of Us Part II was announced during Sony Interactive Entertainments keynote presentation this past weekend at PlayStation Experience 2016 in Anaheim and is in very early development.
