According to data reports, sales for Nintendo Switch have now passed 1.5 million worldwide.
Data supplied by respected Japanese publication Famitsu, UK-based Market Research company Gfk and SuperData say that Nintendo Switch sold 500,000 units in the United States alone, while 360,000 units were sold and shipped in Nintendo’s home country Japan.
Elsewhere, the United Kingdom accounts for 110,000 units sold and France 85,000.
It’s worth noting that the posted figures are based off first week sales for Nintendo Switch, with Nintendo expecting to shift 2 million by the end of March, it now appears a foregone conclusion that it should meet its estimated target.
Interestingly, SuperData also reports that 89% of Nintendo Switch owners purchased The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, accounting for 1.3 million units of the game sold.
