Project Scorpio Will Have Room for More Visual Improvements at 4K Resolution

With Microsoft set to finally reveal Project Scorpio tomorrow afternoon (2 p.m UK time), information has begun to emerge online from well respected sources as to the full capabilities of the mid-cycle console and what we can expect during the big reveal.

Earlier today, known insider Shinobi602 revealed that Project Scorpio is very likely to be able to run the vast majority of current Xbox One titles at a true 4K resolution when the console launches this Holiday, with room for further visual improvements past even that.

The insider, well known for offering correct information regarding video game hardware and software also revealed that Xbox fans can expect news during tomorrow’s reveal regarding the various improvements Project Scorpio will have on Backwards Compatible titles, currently available on Xbox One from Xbox 360.

But what of the possible titles expected to be shown during Microsoft’s reveal? Windows Central journalist Jez Corden, who correctly confirmed an incoming reveal last week believes Xbox fans will be treated to CD Projekt Red’s critically acclaimed Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running in native 4K thanks to a Project Scorpio patch.

Be sure to look out for Microsoft’s full reveal of Project Scorpio tomorrow at 2 p.m GMT where we are sure to learn a whole lot more about the latest iteration to come from the eighth-generation console.

Better known as RzrsS in the video game scene, Stephan Rodts has been playing video games for nearly his entire life. He started out shooting poor ducks out of the sky in Duck Hunt on the Nintendo, but now shoots everything that moves. Be warned.
