Psychological RPG Sacred Fire has been successfully funded through Kickstarter and will now launch in 2018 for PC, Xbox One and PS4, developer Poetic Studio has announced.
Sacred Fire surpassed its initial target goal of $50,000 USD, which has subsequently unlocked a number of new rewards and stretch goals for the remaining 3 days of the campaign, which ends Thursday 13th April.
“Sacred Fire has been a labour of love for us at Poetic Studio and it has been humbling to see the response from the gaming community. With their support we are now able to deliver on our promise of a unique narrative-based RPG experience where, as we say, your heart hides all of the monsters,” says Andrej Vojtas, Creative Director, Poetic Studios.
Voiced by Doug Cockle, whose work previously includes Geralt in CD Projekt Red’s critically acclaimed The Witcher 3, Sacred Fire is a tale of survival that has players fronting a band of resistance fighters in Caledonia, Scotland against invading Roman Empire.
With the initial $50,000 now achieved, the customary stretch goals are now open and include extended character customisation, an inner voice for the player character and partial voiceover for 10 of the games main characters. All 3 stretch goals can be funded for an extra $15,000.
Sacred Fire is slated to launch Spring 2018 for PC with Xbox One and PS4 to follow.
