PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is suffering performance issues following a recent update.
As reported by PCGamesN, everyone’s favourite battle royale bonanza released a new patch on PC last week which has caused several users to suffer from serious drops in framerate.
According to users over at the PUBG subreddit, the huge drops in framerate occur most when looting dead bodies (a dead player) or more specifically, when looting over multiple corpses which can drop PUBG‘s FPS to staggering single digits in some instances. Others complain that the drop occurs when accessing and closing the game’s map or when dragging and dropping items in the inventory.
Developer BlueHole is keenly aware of the issues hindering performance in PUBG with Marketing & Events Manager for the game, Sammie Kang tweeting one user to assure them that the studio will investigate the issue.
We are aware and will investigate soon.

Currently, the highest Steam charting title for concurrent players, PUBG will arrive for Xbox One before the close of 2017 where hopefully the issues have been ironed out.
