A now-removed listing on video game publication Game Informer might have just alluded to a potential sequel to Rockstar’s 2008 high school adventure Bully.
Labelled Bully 2: Kevin’s Back Jack, the listing appeared on Game Informer with little information given other than a platform (PS4) and release window, which would put the game’s release somewhere between September and December of this year.
Whilst this could merely be nothing more than a data error on the publications part, Game Informer is well-known to announce games via its monthly covers. GI has since removed the listing and tweeted out the following to say: “You might be seeing reports we have reported Bully 2 exists. This is in error. We have not heard anything about a sequel to Bully.”
This is far from the first time we’ve heard of a sequel possibly being in the works. Just this last April we reported on a potential sequel when a posting appearing on a Bully forum by a known insider claimed: “Bully 2 is indeed in development and is supposed to be the next game after RDR2.”
That particular rumour would appear to make no sense now since the studio delayed Red Dead Redemption 2 until 2018, but that doesn’t mean that Rockstar, who seldom appear at E3 in person, won’t allow a sequel to appear in some form or another next week at the Convention Center in Los Angeles.
