Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert’s point-and-click detective drama Thimbleweed Park should make its debut on Nintendo Switch sometime in September, developer Terrible Toybox has announced.
A mixture of X-Files meets Twin Peaks, Thimbleweed Park first released on Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux in March and is set to launch for PS4 on August 22nd. However, a release date for Nintendo Switch has been more of a mystery, with nothing concrete at the time of writing. “We don’t have a release date nailed down for the Nintendo eShop yet but expect it to be in September,” said the developer.
Thimbleweed Park on Nintendo Switch will support both Joy-Con controllers and touch screen controls so players can switch between all modes with ease.
In our review, Stephen Huston spoke very highly of Thimbleweed Park, “It confidently succeeds as a self-contained story that is incredibly self-aware of the time period it was created but plants one pixelated foot in past it remembers fondly.”
Thimbleweed Park is out now on Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux and set to release on August 22nd for PS4.
