THQ Nordic is rebooting 2003 point and click gothic horror adventure Black Mirror for consoles and PC this Fall.
Not to be confused with the Netflix TV series of the same name, Black Mirror was a gothic horror adventure game first released in 2003 for PC. Currently, in development at KING Art Games (The Book of Unwritten Tales, The Dwarves), Black Mirror was originally developed by Czech-based studio Future Games.
Inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe and H.P Lovecraft, Black Mirror will be “a new interpretation that retains the strengths of the original games,” according to THQ Producer Martin Kreuch. Black Mirror will retain the unique atmosphere of madness and psychological distress seen in the original trilogy but also blends point-and-click with the freedom of exploration. 2 subsequent sequels would follow the original with the KING Art Games created Black Mirror II: Reigning Evil releasing in 2010 and Black Mirror III: Final Fear debuting soon after.
Black Mirror is slated for release on November 28th, 2017 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, Mac and Linux.
