Batman: Return to Arkham developer Virtuos today announced the acquisition of veteran video game developer Elijah Freeman.
With a fifteen-year career spanning Crytek, Electronic Arts and CCP Games and the likes of Robinson: The Journey, Madden, Tiger Woods and many more games among his resume, Freeman joins Virtous as Group Development Director and will provide the global creative and executional direction for the company’s Game Division.
Formally trained as an artist before progressing into game development, Elijah Freeman is credited on more than 14 AAA titles, with his most recent work coming for Crytek’s VR titles on Robinson: The Journey and The Climb.

Today’s news follows the recent opening of Virtuos Notre-Dame, a Paris-based studio dedicated to mobile game design, and the acquisition of Dublin-based game studio Black Shamrock.
