We Happy Few has finally touched down on Xbox One and PC in their Preview and Early Access programs. The game that shocked a lot of Xbox fans at this years E3 due to it’s violent and twisted nature is here. The game’s developer Compulsion Games Inc. which featured in our latest Developer Focus has already drummed up a lot of hype for the title and gamers can finally see whether it’s been worth the wait.
“The game’s story, apart from certain moments, will not be included in the Early Access version of the game. By “the story” we mean the narrative areas, gameplay and cutscenes that make up a traditional single player story.
We will also be developing the various game modes and difficulties throughout Early Access, and may not have all options available until final release. We will also be iterating on the game with community, including a couple of major updates that will add to the design, so the features listed on this page may change.” say the developers in the game’s early access section on Steam.
While the story elements will be held off until the final release, some six to twelve months from now, the game is “feature complete at an alpha level” and players will have access to three of the five total islands that will be in the final version of We Happy Few.
Stay tuned for more details and our very own hands-on coverage later this month.
