EA and Hazelight Announce Co-Op Title A Way Out

At its EA PLAY conference today, EA partnered with Hazelight to announce a new title called A Way Out.

A Way Out is the newest game from Josef Fares, creator of previous co-op title Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, from his new studio Hazelight. The game focuses on the cooperative actions of two men in jail named Vincent and Leo who have their own motivations, personalities, and abilities. A Way Out will feature both online and split-screen multiplayer so you can perfect your breakout style. But the game is about more than getting out of prison, it’s also about what the characters do once they bust out.

Most interesting from the on-stage demo is that when one player is in a cutscene that doesn’t involve the other character, that other character will still be able to move and interact with the environment.

No doubt more will be revealed the closer we get to early 2018 which is the release window for A Way Out. Look for it to release on Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC via Origin.

Stephen has been an avid gamer for nearly 25 years, fighting alongside caped crusaders, Jedi, and biotic Asari along the way. He likes to try new things but frequently comes back to Overwatch.
