Metroid Prime 4 Officially in Development for Nintendo Switch

During today’s Nintendo Spotlight, Nintendo unveiled the surprising news that bounty hunter Samus Aran is returning in Metroid Prime 4.

No release window, developer, or plot information as revealed. The reveal consisted of the lightning bolt symbol of the franchise being replaced by a “4”, with the accompanying Metroid Prime theme music. Metroid Prime 4 is in development for Nintendo Switch. This marks the first entry in the Prime series since 2007’s Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on the Wii. The trilogy of Metroid Prime titles were later ported to Wii U on Nintendo’s eShop.
