Atlus has debuted two new trailers showcasing two character classes in the upcoming RPG Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth.
First, the Rover is a class not unlike the Ranger from other RPGs. Rovers are the hunters of the kingdom of Arcadia. The Rover utilizes ranged attacks along with animal summons and is best used in the backline of your party. Additionally, while exploring the world, Rovers can get to places other classes can’t due to their connection to nature and the wilderness.
Atlus also detailed the upcoming Necromancer class. These summoners have control over life and death itself and can summon wraiths to attack, defend, or sacrifice the wraiths to spread ailments or heal. Necromancers have great versatility and can fulfill many roles in a party.
Together, the Rover and Necromancer bring the total of classes in Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth to ten. Both classes are also brand new to the series. Players will attempt to scale the Yggdrasil tree when Etrian Odyssey V launches in the Americas on October 17th exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. PAL territories can expect to play the game in the 4th quarter of 2017.
