Call of Duty WWII Will Launch November 3rd, Feature Standalone Co-op Story and Normandy Setting

Following weeks of rumour, yesterday Activision finally confirmed Call of Duty WWII as the next title in the famed shooter franchise.

Earlier today, a leaked piece of promotional material surfaced online revealing a host of new details for Call of Duty WWII ahead of its worldwide reveal next Wednesday, including a concrete release date, story campaign information, cooperative mode and news of a Private Beta for those who pre-order the game ahead of release.

First up, according to the leaked material seen down below, Call of Duty WWII will officially launch November 3rd, 2017. This comes as no real surprise with Call of Duty titles tending to release annually during the month of November. For the record, November 3rd falls on a Friday, which is a typical release date for the UK.

We also learn from the promotional item that the Call of Duty WWII will see the franchise return to the setting of Normandy, France as seen in Call of Duty and its follow-up Call of Duty II as players experience classic Call of Duty combat, the bonds of camaraderie and the unforgiving nature of war against a global power.

Landing in Normandy, France on D-Day, players will battle across various iconic locations throughout Europe in history’s most monumental war.

Call of Duty WWII will feature a bold new campaign with lifelike visuals and blockbuster cinematic authenticity as the story of an unbreakable brotherhood of common men fighting to preserve freedom in a world on the brink of tyranny unfolds.

Additionally, Call of Duty: WWII’s will include a cooperative mode that will feature a new and original story as players team up with friends in a standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.

Lastly, players who pre-order Call of Duty WWII will gain access to a Private Beta ahead of the game’s full release, although no dates have been confirmed.

Call of Duty WWII is expected to launch for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 3rd.

Be sure to tune into the official Call of Duty website on Wednesday, April 26 at 18:00 p.m BST to watch the reveal in full.
