After numerous teases, Japanese developer/publisher Atlus has announced that a remake of puzzle platforming adventure game Catherine will release for the PS4 and PS Vita, entitled Catherine: Full Body.
The announcement was made with a new website and the game is being developed by Atlus’ new internal development team, Studio Zero, also working on the tentatively named Project Re Fantasy.
Japanese publication Famitsu confirmed that its January 4th, 2018 magazine issue will feature more information on the game. What we know for now is that Katsura Hashino will direct Catherine and that a Niconico live stream will take place on December 22nd, 2017 at 7:30 PM JST (2:30 AM PST / 5:30 AM EST/ 12:30 AM GMT), with a world premiere trailer for Catherine: Full Body touted among many things.
For the uninitiated, Catherine is a bizarre hybrid puzzle platformer adventure game first launched in 2011 on Xbox 360 and PS3. The game centres around Vincent Brooks, a man who begins to suffer from strange nightmares following a conversation with his partner Katherine about marriage and commitment and grow worse as he starts up an affair with a woman known as Catherine.
According to various reports, a third girl will be added to the equation for the remake, which will undoubtedly make Vincent’s life more complicated.
Thanks, Persona Central
