December 2017 Games With Gold Headlined by Warhammer and Child of Eden

Major Nelson has unveiled the Xbox One and Xbox 360 games players can download as part of the Games With Gold program. Gold members of Xbox Live can download these four new titles for free throughout December.

Starting on December 1st for Xbox One, Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide will be made available. It’s a 4-player first-person multiplayer only title that shares similarities with Left 4 Dead. Players must face hordes of enemies and progress from one level to the next. At the end of each match, a die roll dictates the loot players will earn. Xbox One X owners will also see a boost to 4K resolution, with some technical enhancements available. Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide will be available throughout the month of December.

Starting on December 16th, Xbox One players can believe in the power of love once again and step into the DeLorean of Marty McFly and Doc Brown. Telltale’s Back To The Future – 30th Anniversary Edition has players take on the role of Marty McFly as the DeLorean has reappeared six months after the events of Back to the Future III – driverless! Featuring voice work from Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson, and Claudia Wells and a special appearance from Michael J. Fox plus behind the scenes content. Back to the Future – 30th Anniversary Edition will be available until January 15th, 2018.

Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners will still have two 360 titles to download in Child of Eden and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death. Child of Eden is a kaleidoscopic visual feast of a shooter. Designed by Tetsuya Mizuguchi (RezEvery Extend Extra) and published by Ubisoft, Child of Eden was designed for both the controller and Kinect sensor . However, like all backwards compatible titles, the Kinect sensor functionality is not available. Child of Eden will be available for free from December 1st through December 15th.

The other title, Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death, will be available from December 16th until the end of the year. Published by 505 Games, Marlow Briggs has players controlling a mercenary who is bound to an ancient Mayan Death Mask. Featuring cinematic gameplay and inspired by action films and comic book heroics, Marlow Briggs blasts onto Xbox consoles to finish out 2017’s Games With Gold.

As always, availability does vary by region and other titles may replace these four.
