EA has opened the hood and offered up the first details on the latest entry in the Need For Speed franchise titled Need For Speed Payback.
The Swedish masterminds at Ghost Games have returned to helm this latest entry with what EA describes as an “explosive adventure filled with intense heist missions, high stakes car battles, epic cop pursuits, and jaw-dropping set pieces.” Need For Speed Payback will feature a story of three characters reunited by a common enemy in The House, a cartel that rules over Fortune Valley’s casinos, criminals and cops. Thought the story, players will be able to customize their vehicles and fine-tune them to turn that beat-up clunker into a prized show-stopper.
A few of the available vehicles have been revealed, albeit as pre-order incentives. Included in the Platinum Car Pack are a 2008 Nissan 250Z, a ’67 Chevrolet Camaro SS, a ’69 Dodge Charger R/T, a 2016 Ford F-150 Raptor, and a 2016 Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport. Each of these vehicles will also be “uniquely customized and tuned” at launch and come with Platinum Blue Tire Smoke. Additionally, a deluxe edition of the game is being offered that will include a license plate and NOS color, in-game discounts, reputation bonuses, the Platinum Car Pack, the ability to play early by three days and more.
Need For Speed Payback will be launching worldwide on November 10th for Xbox One, PS4, and EA’s own Origin platform on PC. Expect for Need For Speed Payback to have a prominent spot in EA’s Play Conference on June 10th at 19:00 PM GMT.
