Final Fantasy XV Becomes Series’ Second Biggest UK Launch; Fails to Dislodge FIFA 17 From No.1 Spot

FIFA 17 has retained its No.1 status in the latest UK Chart-Track standings despite strong competition from Final Fantasy XV.

Final Fantasy XV, the fifteenth main iteration in the highly popular role-playing franchise sold 5 million digital and retail copies worldwide on its opening day and becomes the second best launch for the franchise in the UK behind 2010’s Final Fantasy XIII.

Elsewhere in this week’s chart standings, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare falls one place to make way for FFXVPokémon Moon and Pokémon Sun drop to 8 and 9 respectively after a strong debut and Ubisoft’s new I.P Steep only manages to debut at No.24.
