During the PlayStation Experience keynote presentation yesterday, Santa Monica Studio game director Cory Barlog took to the stage to discuss God of War.
Joining President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment Shawn Layden and host Sid Shuman on stage to offer a progress report on the current status of God of War, Barlog announced that from the numerous playtests taken over the course of the games development, he estimated that it will take around 25-35 hours to complete God of War, which is considerably longer than the average playtime of the 3 main God of War games before it.
Unlike the series’ 7 previous installments, Kratos will not be fighting Greek gods in God of War, instead, the Ghost of Sparta will travel along with his son Atreus to a land dominated by Nordic monsters.
Unfortunately, despite a leak earlier in the week on the North American PlayStation Store that highlighted God of War to release in March, no date was announced by Santa Monica Studio for the PS4 exclusive at PSX 2017.
