Grand Theft Auto V Tops UK Weekly All-Format Sales Chart for 14th Time

Grand Theft Auto V is back at the top of the UK all-format sales chart for a fourteenth time since its release in 2013.

In turn, Rockstar Games’ seminal masterpiece of criminal life in Los Santos becomes the third biggest game for UK No.1’s, having moved ahead of 505 Games’ Zumba Fitness which managed 13 weeks on top of the charts. A further 2 weeks at No.1 will see Grand Theft Auto V move into second position ahead of Nintendo’s Wii Fit (16 weeks), but the UK chart ever-present remains some way out of securing the overall crown which currently belongs to Who Wants to be a Millionaire with a whopping 20 weeks spent at No.1 in the UK.

Grand Theft Auto V last topped the UK charts in June 2017 and has spent a staggering 226+ weeks inside the UK all-format top 40, with over half that figure spent inside the top 5.

With sales incredibly close between the top 3, Call of Duty: WWII remains at No.2 and last weeks No.1, FIFA 18 falls 2 places to No.3. Assassin’s Creed Origins continues its stranglehold on fourth spot, Mario 8 Deluxe is Nintendo Switch’s biggest UK seller this week with a climb of 7 places to No.5 and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition makes a re-entry in the top 20 at No.15.
