THQ Nordic has announced a remastered version of 5th Cell’s 2008 Nintendo DS strategy game Lock’s Quest for Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC, coming in April 2017.
Originally released in 2008 for Nintendo DS, Lock’s Quest is the newest entry in THQ Nordic’s meaningful asset program and will be “mapped” for consoles and PC to release this Spring.
A remastered version will be developed by Digital Continue and features a revamped UI, high-resolution portraits, adapted controls, remastered soundtrack, new battles and map along with a new progression system integrated into the storyline.
“We had the great opportunity to work with people from the original development team of Lock’s Quest, and things clicked right off the bat”, said Reinhard Pollice, Business and Product Development Director at THQ Nordic. “It is one of those hidden gems and a fan-favourite, so when things fell into place, we quickly decided to do this.”
Lock’s Quest boasts real-time strategy with elements of tower defense as players take on the role of Lock, a young boy whose Village is invaded, triggering a war between Kingdom Force and a revived Clockwork Army.
Lock’s Quest is slated for an April 2017 release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
