Metal Gear Survive Single-Player Showcased in New Action-Packed Gameplay Footage

Konami has shared a new video showcasing the single-player mode for upcoming Metal Gear Solid spin-off, Metal Gear Survive.

The new footage shared by IGN is packed full of action, base building and recruitment as the player is thrust into endless dangerous scenarios after being pulled through a wormhole into a world full of biological threats and hostile environments. With a toolset and weapon crafting akin to the crazy blueprints of Frank West and Dead Rising, the protagonist makes light work of hordes of baying zombies with an array of different weapons and traps that make for some entertaining viewing throughout the 5-minute long video.

We also catch glimpses of the player’s ability to construct a better and stronger base of operations to keep the bad guys on the outside, while housing any potential and invaluable recruits safe from harm on the inside.

The first Metal Gear title since the controversial departure of Hideo Kojima will host a beta for Xbox One and PS4 players on January 18th, with a full release scheduled for February 20th in North America and February 22nd in Europe on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Paula has been a passionate gamer since she spent hours playing Crash Bandicoot and Spyro during her childhood. She is a huge fan of RPGs and loses hundreds of hours searching for every sidequest. Not one for missing out, she games on both XB1 & PS4.
