Metro Exodus, the third title in the post-apocalyptic survival series will launch in Autumn of 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, 4A Games and Deep Silver have announced.
During The Game Awards 2017 last night, fans were treated to a brand new trailer for Metro Exodus titled ‘The Aurora’, which departs the confines of the Metro for a post-apocalyptic Moscow, a city covered in a blanket of snow and ice and heavily populated by dangerous monsters.
First announced during Microsoft’s E3 presser earlier this year and inspired by author Dmitry Glukhovsky’s best selling novels Metro 2033 and Metro 2035, Metro Exodus continues the story of protagonist Artyom who refuses to accept that all is lost and flees the questionable safety of the Metro to lead a band of Spartan Rangers on a continent-spanning journey across Russia in search of new life beyond Moscow.
“We were overwhelmed by our fans’ reaction to the announcement of Metro Exodus at E3” said Andriy Prokhorov, Creative Director and Co-Founder at 4A Games. “We’re sorry to have kept you waiting so long for further news, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from us in the months ahead.”
Metro Exodus will release sometime during Autumn 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
