Monster Hunter: World Sees Off UFC 3 to Retain UK No.1 Spot

Monster Hunter: World Sees Off UFC 3 to Retain UK No.1 Spot

Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World outsells newcomer EA Sports UFC 3 to retain the top spot in the latest UK all-format chart.

For Monster Hunter: World it represents a great start to life on the PS4 and Xbox One in the UK, though for EA Sports UFC, it’s more of a case of history repeating itself with the series’ previous entry, UFC 2 also narrowly missing out the coveted UK top spot to Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division back in 2016.

Below the top 2 spots, Call of Duty: WWII, FIFA 18 and Grand Theft Auto V all hold station at No.3, 4 and 5 respectively as last weeks No.2, Dragon Ball FighterZ drops out of the top 5 entirely at No.6.

The only new entry inside the top 40 this week comes in the shape of Square Enix’s Dissidia Final Fantasy NT for PS4, which debuts at No.9. The previously portable only series first debuted in 2009 with Dissidia Final Fantasy appearing at No.10 before Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy arrived in 2011 at No.24 and so, the latest addition is a series best in terms of sales, although it is the first to appear on console.

As always, it’s worth pointing out that GFK Chart-Track only accounts for physical copies sold in its data and doesn’t include digital sales.
