Publisher Bigben Interactive and developer Frogwares today published a new developer diary for Lovecraft inspired investigation game The Sinking City, detailing the creative process and inspiration behind the city of Oakmont.
In the video, Frogwares CEO Wael Amr along with architect and city planner Katerina Frolova and lead level artist Aleksey Yurkin discuss the studio’s creative vision for Oakmont, explaining in detail how the city came about through thorough research, which in-turn allowed the team to build an American city with historically accurate details that will help to immerse players in the exploratory world of Oakmont.
Set in the 1920’s, The Sinking City is an open world investigation adventure game inspired by the works of American horror author H.P. Lovecraft where players step into the shoes of a P.I who arrives in Oakmont, a city besieged by floods and the supernatural, to uncover the source of the possession that has taken over the minds of Oakmont’s inhabitants.
