Level 5’s colourful RPG Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been delayed by 2 months, publisher Bandai Namco has announced.
The follow up to 2013’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch was penned to release in January 2018 for PS4 and PC, but will now release late March 2018 instead.
In a press release Level 5 director and president Akihiro Hino explained the reasons behind the delay: “Level-5 is committed to delivering the highest levels of design and quality in each of our video game titles. The development of our latest project Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom is coming along very well and we can’t wait to share this new adventure with you our fans.
However with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive package. This means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom experience meets Level-5 and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s high-quality standards.”
This isn’t the first delay to hit Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, which was originally scheduled to release in November this year before a delay this summer pushed the games release back to January 2018.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will release on March 23rd, 2018 for PS4 and PC.
